Forest School
At Earlham Primary School, we believe that education in the outdoor environment is just as important as learning that takes place indoors.
Our extensive grounds enable us to further enhance our pastoral provision by offering Forest Schools activities to our children. We are extremely fortunate to have a newly-developed Forest School area within our school grounds and have recently begun working with qualified Forest School instructors from Urban Forest Tribe CIC.
In our Forest School we foster a deep connection and love of nature through play. The children are given time and space to explore and discover things for themselves, alongside trained Forest School leaders who are always close by, to guide and reassure.
Our Forest School area provides opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. The sessions will support play, exploration and supported risk taking and develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting, The sessions are child-led and designed to meet the needs of individuals to ensure that children grow in self-confidence, as well as developing their physical, emotional, cognitive and social skills.
